Visionary Thought: Varsity Celebrates Iqbal Day with Seminar and CompetitionsÚFaisalabad (November 18-19, 2025) – A two-day celebration of Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s legacy concluded at the Government College Women University Faisalabad on November 19, featuring spirited debates and scholarly discourse on the philosopher-poet’s vision for the youth.ÚVice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), presiding over the main seminar, urged students to look beyond the annual observance and integrate Iqbal’s philosophy into their daily lives. She termed his work a vital roadmap for the nation'||chr(39)||'s moral and intellectual revival.ÚThe events, organized by the Directorate of Students Affairs in collaboration with the English, Urdu, and Islamic Studies departments, kicked off on November 18 with a Bilingual Speech Competition.ÚRenowned academics Prof. Dr. Asif Awan, Prof. Dr. Ghulam Murtaza, and Dr. Khalid Mahmood Arif delivered keynote lectures. They explored the multidimensional aspects of Iqbal’s thought, particularly his ability to awaken the political and spiritual consciousness of Muslims in the Subcontinent.ÚThe audience was captivated by a melodious recitation of Kalam-e-Iqbal by an English Department student and an insightful documentary produced by the Charter Building Society.
