GCWUF Hosts Successful Opening Day of ICMEFT-2025ÚFaisalabad, November 20, 2025 — The Department of Mathematics GCWUF, in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics GCUF, organized the International Conference on Mathematics, Engineering, and Future Technologies (ICMEFT-2025), which commenced at Government College Women University Faisalabad with a vibrant inaugural ceremony attended by leading academic and industry figures.ÚProf. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), Vice Chancellor GCWUF; Prof. Dr. Zafar, Vice Chancellor Medical University Faisalabad; and Prof. Dr. Aman Ullah, Rector The University of Faisalabad (TUF), graced the opening as Chief Guests.ÚIn her address, Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen underscored the centrality of Mathematics in the era of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, commending Prof. Dr. Saima Akram for steering the Department of Mathematics toward academic advancement and research excellence. Prof. Dr. Zafar highlighted the rich intellectual heritage of Muslim mathematicians and encouraged students to pursue high-quality research. Prof. Dr. Aman Ullah appreciated the conference for fostering meaningful links between Mathematics, industry, and interdisciplinary fields.ÚThe first day featured three parallel technical sessions with 40 scholarly presentations and engaged nearly 400 participants, marking an impressive start to the three-day event. International presence was strengthened by Dr. Norma Alias from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, who attended the conference physically as a distinguished international keynote speaker. ICMEFT-2025 aligned with global priorities by contributing to SDG-4 (Quality Education), SDG-5 (Gender Equality), SDG-8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth), and SDG-17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
