The Artful Harvest: Seminar & Workshop Promotes Sustainable Landscaping and Urban Food Production at GCWUFÚFAISALABAD, November 26, 2025 — Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), Vice Chancellor GCWUF, and the guidance of Dr. Irfana Lalarukh, the Green & Clean Society, in collaboration with the Department of Botany and Estate Office, organized a seminar and workshop titled “The Artful Harvest: Designing Beauty and Bounty.â€ÚThe event featured expert talks on landscape design, urban food production, and modern agritech. Dr. Adnan Younis (UAF) discussed landscape design as a blend of science and art, highlighting its ecological and aesthetic value. Mr. Sajid Iqbal Sindhu (Green Circle) introduced practical techniques for kitchen gardening and low-cost urban food solutions, offering students training and internship opportunities. Mr. Mohsin Malik (Spurt International) showcased aeroponics as a high-yield, space-efficient agritech model, with students engaging in hands-on demonstrations.ÚThe program concluded with certificate distribution and a practical workshop where participants transplanted seedlings and received vegetable seeds to begin their own edible gardens. The event reinforced the message that sustainable practices and urban agriculture can strengthen communities and promote environmental responsibility.
