Economics Department is one of the preeminent teaching department of this new born university of Pakistan. The Department offers exceptional opportunities for undergraduates, graduates and researchers. New ideas and new directions in economic research are being developed and pursued with vigor by the high-profile faculty. Both undergraduate and graduate students are actively engaged in learning and research activities. The faculty of the department has multidisciplinary and diverse interests in the latest fields of Economics. All of them are actively involved in research and publication activities. Faculty members have also served on higher positions at national level in different institutions.
To achieve broad and increasing recognition of its programs among public and private institutions in the region, and to equip students with skills to implement theoretical and applied research in order to resolve problems confronting the economy.
To achieve recognition among other universities, the department offers a curriculum that is in line with HEC and reflects the current state of knowledge and skills. Our target is to impart recent skills among students so that they can compete in the global economy.
