Aggression in Wives of Drug Addicts: A Comparative Analysis



Level: BS [6th Semester] Supervisor: Dr. Riffat Sadiq, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Psychology Description: Drug abuse problem brings a bundle of problems for entire family specially wives who are responsible to provide frequent care, emotional and financial support to their addicted husbands. Wives of drug addicts lack of social support, monetary help and are blamed for their husband???s addiction. They are also compelled to earn money to meet household expenses. Previous researchers also revealed wives of drug addicts experiencing emotional distress, somatic complaints, anxiety, social dysfunction, depression, anger, chronic cough, pain and irritability. The present research project further examines how drug abuse problems in men provoking aggression in their wives while comparing them with wives of healthy individuals (non-drug addicts).
