The United Nations, Transforming our World the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is one of the most ambitious and important global agreements in real history. GCWUF is embarked upon a new journey by becoming a part of this global movement. In pursuance of the direction of the worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq and in an attempt to build an internal capacity and ownership of the SDGs, an online Informative Session on Role Academia in Acceleration of SDGs and Local Challenges Funds was organized by Quality Enhancement Cell, of GCWUF on August 31, 2020 at 10:00am.The Session was participated by all faculty members of GCWUF. The focal person of this session was Mr Shahzad Khalil Monitoring &Evaluation Analyst Punjab SDGs Support Unit. The session was specifically objected to provide a sound guideline on the parameters and key performance indicators essential for the effective implementation of SDGs. The standards and modalities of Quality Assurance system were also discussed. Deputy Director QEC, Dr. Nasir Mahmood, in his concluding remarks expressed gratitude to Mr Shahzad Khalil for his insightful guidance and practical suggestion to build a reliable data for the purpose of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Local Challenge Fund.
