Introduction

The Directorate of Students Affairs establishes a liaison between students, faculty and University administration. It is an important component of university, offers a platform for curricular and co-curricular activities to explore, enlighten and polish the hidden capabilities of the students so that they can enjoy pleasant environment and deliver a series of programmes to enrich the campus life. It is committed to enable all students to participate in an engaging, healthy, and active learning environment during their time at GCWUF, consisting of a variety of societies and clubs, offers a wealth of programming, services, and resources to GCWUF students across the country. There are many great ways to get involved on or off-campus by attending programmes, joining a society or club, volunteering, taking on a leadership role or working on campus. The whole team of Directorate of Students Affairs helps students navigate and reflect upon challenges and transitions, and empower them to become architects of their own learning and development. It also communicates the problems being faced by the students to help them in their amicable solution. The Directorate of Students Affairs has two wings one of vigilance committees, deals with the discipline and other co-curricular societies deal with co-curricular activities on and outside the campus.





Director’s Message

The office of the Directorate of Students Affairs GCWUF provides a rich forum for cultivation of literary, artistic and scientific potentialities of students by furnishing them healthy outlets. DSA is tasked with creating a variety of programs to ensure a respectful nurturing cultural environment. For this purpose, it has a number of societies working under its umbrella. The societies arrange seminars, workshops and exhibitions that cater to the academic, emotional and health needs of the students. DSA is also responsible to ensure that daily interactions are peaceful and productive for every student. The office is granted the latitude to implement the Code of Conduct, organize campus activities, negotiate and interact with stakeholders for facilitation and betterment of students. Maintaining an active, harmonious, beneficial and strong relationship of students with the peers, faculty, administration and stakeholders is also one of the key functions of DSA.

The Mission of DSA is to enhance the quality of life for students both in and out of the classroom.i. To promote co-curricular activities and provide opportunities, resources, and support to help students by organizing inter-university debate competitions, functions, seminars, workshops, entrepreneur week, exhibitions, job fair, welcome parties and to make their stay in the University a rich experience of multi-dimensional growth To Maintain discipline in the campus. ii. To Sensitize the students against the menace of drug abuse through conducting seminars, workshops and awareness walks. iii. To create a positive learning environment that fosters successful learning and personal development, both in and outside the campus. iv. To encourage students to initiate positive and constructive activities that help to achieve and improve the objective of building a balanced personality.
