Introduction

The Center of Skills Development and Technical Education (CSDTE) at Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) was established with the mission to empower women by equipping them with in-demand technical, digital, and entrepreneurial skills. The Center serves as a hub for capacity building, providing specialized training programs that enable students, faculty, and the wider community to thrive in today???s competitive job market. CSDTE offers a diverse range of short courses, freelancing programs, and professional training initiatives. These programs are specifically designed to help women secure well-paying remote opportunities, earn foreign exchange, and contribute to the socio-economic development of Pakistan.The Center of Skills Development and Technical Education (CSDTE) at Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) was established to empower women by equipping them with in-demand technical, digital, and entrepreneurial skills. The Center serves as a hub for capacity building, providing specialized training programs that enable students, faculty, and the wider community to thrive in today???s competitive job market. Since its inception in December 2022, CSDTE has made a remarkable impact: *8,690 students trained under the GCWUF 1-Credit Hour Policy. *$138,670 verified earnings during training. *Over $2 million in verified earnings after training by graduates. *80 students trained under NAVTTC (Feb???Jun 2024), with 15 earning $2,000 during training. 95 students are currently enrolled in 5 NAVTTC courses (2025). In summer 2024, 40 faculty members were trained in digital skills, and AI tools workshops were conducted for all teaching and non-teaching staff in Summer 2025. These achievements reflect the Center???s commitment to enhancing employability, promoting freelancing, and contributing to Pakistan???s foreign remittance through digital empowerment.
