The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has established to prepare online contents of lecturers in order to minimize the loss of students after closing of educational institutions due to COVID-19.
The journey begins under the Convener-ship of Director Advanced Studies and continues successful planning of making course structure, mode of communication, preparation and pitching of content. The faculties have also been advised to attend campus only when required for preparation and delivery of online courses/content with a view to minimize any academic loss of the students. Faculty delivered lectures by using the Learning Management System and Campus Management System. Different applications like Google classroom, Microsoft Teams and other related software have been utilized in this regard.

In a short span of time, in 20 meticulous sittings committee discussed all rapid variations in policies as conveyed by HEC , PHEC/HED, course modification, student financial support and frequently faced problems regarding online classes for all ongoing semesters, extensions in fee submission, online admission application processing, segregation of classes and sessions, by allowing to enroll spring courses during fall (only one time due to COVID-19) to improve /Pass courses.
The Directorate of Advanced Studies has been established to streamline the functioning of different programmes that have been either already launched at all academic disciplines or to be launched in near future. The Directorate of Advanced Studies has also been entrusted with the task to prepare and recommend new rules and procedures to further strengthen and improve the academic disciplines. The University offers Bachelor (31), Associate Degree (ADE), B.Ed., Master (17), M.Phil. (10) and PhD (05) degrees in faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Islamic and Oriental Learning, Management and Administration Science, Science and Technology
Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli, Chairperson Chemistry Department has been assigned the charge of Director Advanced Studies on August 1, 2013. The Directorate of Advanced Studies has also been entrusted with the task to prepare and recommend new rules and procedures to further strengthen and improve the academic discipline in the light of different directives and precedents of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. This Directorate is striving hard for achieving excellence and ensuring authenticity, transparency, competitiveness, and timely completion of all degree programs within the stipulated period. This is the newest and the only women University that is growing fastly and accommodating more than 14000 students at present. Many innovative, need-based cross-cutting academic programmes have been introduced in this University within a short span of its establishment and many more are expected to be launched very soon. This will help to meet the ever-growing needs of the fast-growing textile industrial hub, commercial center, and business cosmopolitan city Faisalabad in particular and for central Punjab in general. This Directorate has been given the mandate to facilitate all the graduate and Postgraduate students for their admission, enrollment, approval of supervisory committees, approval of synopsis, approval, and organization of defense of synopsis and thesis.
