Fine Arts Students Recognized for Excellence in Family Planning AdvocacyÚFaisalabad – May 30, 2025: Students and faculty members from the Department of Fine Arts at Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) actively participated in an advocacy session with Family Planning (FP) Champions, focusing on addressing the pressing challenges of family planning in Pakistan. The session brought together 45 participants, including professionals from public health, media, academia, and students from four major public universities of Faisalabad.ÚThe event featured expert-led sessions on the current FP landscape, advanced methods, and the importance of birth spacing. GCWUF students displayed exceptional creativity in visualizing family planning issues through their artistic interpretations during a two-hour activity. The panel highly commended their performance, and one GCWUF student was among the top scorers recognized with a TCI Goodie Bag and Cap.ÚThe session was enriched by the presence of notable figures, including Dr. Aslam Bajwa (PL, TCI GSM Punjab), Dr. Ahmed Khan (CEO, DHA), Dr. Umer (DC, IRMNCH), and Mrs. Rakhshanda Rana (FPO, IRMNCH). The participation of GCWUF not only highlighted the university’s commitment to social advocacy through art but also marked a significant exposure for its students to engage with real-world public health challenges.
