Patriotism in Full Bloom at GCWUF’s Independence Day & Marka-e-Haq 2025 CelebrationsFaisalabad, August 14, 2025 — Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) commemorated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq 2025 with great patriotic fervor, in an event organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs. The ceremony began with the flag hoisting, heartfelt prayers for the country’s prosperity, and an impressive march past by the police band, female police squad, and university guards.Addressing the audience, Chief Guest Major General (R) Nasrullah Tahir Dogar emphasized, “It is not the army alone that defends the nation; every citizen is a guardian of our homeland.”In her remarks, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) emphasized that we need to remember Quaid’s vision and equally respect all citizens of Pakistan—regardless of religion, ethnicity, or background under the constitution. Prof. Dr. Ameen also applauded the Pakistan Armed Forces for their unwavering commitment and sacrifices in protecting the country’s sovereignty and ensuring national security.The celebrations featured certificate distribution to organizers and winners of various competitions held on August 13, soul-stirring milli naghma performances, cake cutting, and a group photograph—each moment capturing the essence of national pride, unity, and gratitude. Faculty, staff, and their families joined the celebrations along with students.
