GCWUF Scholar Presents Faith-Based Approach to Climate ChangeFaisalabad — Dr. Asma Aziz, Assistant Professor of Islamic Studies and Director Students’ Affairs at GCWUF, shared her paper “Prophetic Guidance and Climate Change” at the 2nd International Conference on Environmental Ethics in the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ).She highlighted how Prophetic teachings on water conservation, tree planting, animal care, and cleanliness provide enduring guidance for environmental protection. Referring to initiatives in Muslim countries, she suggested a Faith-Based Sustainability Model for Pakistan, including Eco-Seerah Curriculum, Green Mosques, forest restoration, and climate-resilient cities.She noted that addressing climate change carries both scientific and moral responsibility.
