GCWUF ORIC Steering Committee Deliberates on Becoming Future-Ready with AI-Driven Academic RoadmapFaisalabad, September 25 — The Vice Chancellor of Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), convened the first meeting of the newly constituted ORIC Steering Committee to shape future-ready academic and research initiatives. The meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Khurram Tariq, CEO of Keys & EMMs Pvt. Ltd. and former President of FCCI.The committee extensively deliberated on strategies to transform GCWUF into a future-ready university, emphasizing innovative research and academic programs designed to meet the challenges of the digital era. A major highlight of the session was the plan to integrate an Agentic AI Curriculum to prepare students for emerging technological landscapes.In addition, the committee proposed actionable strategies, including:• Market-driven courses tailored to industry demands,• Structured internship placements to enhance student employability, and• Faculty and student exchange programs to provide global exposure.Other prominent members included Mr. M. Azhar Chaudhary (CEO, Allied Traders & Director Technical, ABCO Pvt. Ltd.) and Dr. Muhammad Usama (FAST). Senior university officials, including the Registrar, Deputy Director External Linkages, and the In-Charge BIC & ORIC, also attended the meeting.The members appreciated the Vice Chancellor’s vision and expressed their commitment to strengthening industry–academia linkages for meaningful progress.
