Nutritional Sciences Students Visit Dawn Factory Faisalabad for Industrial ExposureÚFaisalabad (December 04, 2025) — The Department of Nutritional Sciences, GCWUF organized an industrial study tour to Dawn Factory Faisalabad for BS (HND) students to enhance practical learning and professional exposure.ÚDr. Madiha Ilyas, Head of the Department, and faculty members Ms. Fatima Rafique, Ms. Amna Saleem, and Ms. Nadia Afzal accompanied the students. The visit aimed to familiarize students with nutrient preservation, food safety standards, quality control, and regulatory compliance across the food production process. Students observed production units, hygiene protocols, and packaging procedures, strengthening their understanding of industry practices aligned with their academic curriculum.ÚFollowing the visit, Dr. Madiha Ilyas met with Mr. Muhammad Javed Yousuf, CEO of Dawn Factory Faisalabad, to explore academia–industry collaboration, including internships, hands-on training, and project-based learning opportunities. Mr. Yousuf appreciated the initiative and expressed his commitment to sustained cooperation.
