Dr. Saira Akhter Represents GCWUF at International Women & Family Empowerment Symposium in TürkiyeOctober 27, 2025 — Dr. Saira Akhter, Assistant Professor of English, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), represented the University as an invited speaker at the International Symposium on Empowerment of Women and Families held at Düzce University, Türkiye, from October 22 to 24, 2025.The international symposium focused on contemporary issues related to women’s rights and family empowerment within global and intercultural contexts. Dr. Saira Akhter presented her research paper titled “From Silence to Agency: A Comparative Study of Women Rights Violation in Egyptian and Pakistani Fiction,” highlighting the transformation of female characters from marginalization and silence to agency and resistance in selected literary texts.
