Quality Enhancement Cell, Government College Women University Faisalabad organized a successful training session for fifty-four Program Team (PT) Members of all academic departments on 02 December 2022. The Self-Assessment Report (SAR) is the first step of a programme review. It is the critical self-analysis of a programme or entity based on documented evidence and is completed by the programme or entity itself prior to the external peer review. Prior to this, a curriculum review exercise is usually conducted, a report of which will be included in the SAR. The individuals who undergo the SAR training then carry out the SAR exercise for programme(s) in their entity. The completed SAR will be independently reviewed by CARC for its ???completeness??? and signed-off for the next level, which is the peer/external review process. Dr. Aasma Khalid, Director QEC briefly discussed about Self-Assessment reports and corrective measures. The session included a comprehensive presentation on the importance and preparation mechanism of SAR in the light of SAR Manual, questions and answers, and discussion on various technical aspects to improve the quality of SARs. She also highlighted the quality measures and practices of Self-Assessment of all degree programs. The purpose of this training was to give radical information about how to make SARs and response of corrective actions as per directions of HEC. Through this training Programs Team (PT) members would be able to furnish SAR in context with IPE and YPR needs.
