Department of Chemistry, GCWUF is organising a 3-day international conference on "Recent Advances in Photonics and physical sciences". Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Chairman HEC was the chief guest of the inaugural session who joined the conference virtually. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, Vice Chancellor University of Lahore graced the occasion as Chief guest of the day. Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad congratulated the Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof Dr Robina Farooq (T.I) and all organisers on organising the international conference with national and international scientists together under one roof. He stated that our nation is facing multiple challenges at present and conferences like this provide a solution to the prevelent problems. Prof. Dr. Ashraf, VC UOL appreciated the theme of the conference and efforts of all organisers, acknowledging university's vision to expand the research scope and providing a strong platform to national and international researchers to display their research. Worthy Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq (T.I) & international chair Prof. Dr. Yasin Akhtar Raja, University of North Carolina Charlotte USA vouched a vote of thanks with acknowledgement of the contributions of organizing team. They stressed on upgradation of scientific knowledge and interaction, and expressed gratitude to honourable guests and speakers for their kind presence on this occasion. National chair of the conference Prof. Dr. Zilli Huma Nazli concluded the inauguration session with vote of thanks. She highlighted the quality measures and practices accomplished by the university under the vigilant leadership of Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq (T.I). Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zubair Ex-VC Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture Multan also graced the occasion. Prof. Dr. Khizar Bhutta was among the most prominent international scientists from Whirlpool Corporation USA who participated in conference with a detailed plenary lecture on photonics.
