Women Development Center DSA, GCWUF organized seminar " Women's Property Rights and Harassment of Women at the workplace "on 22 March 2023. Focal person Women development center DSA, Dr Asma Aziz, welcomed the guests and the audience. Ms. Nabila Hakim Ali Khan, Provincial Ombudsperson Punjab, was the guest speaker. She talked about the means of spreading awareness regarding women's property rights and harassment at workplace. She explained the role of the office of Ombudsperson Punjab in detail and how the women can make complaints to the Ombudsperson's office regarding their issues of property or harassment. The office of the Ombudsperson ensures the implementation of Enforcement of Women's Property Rights Act, 2021. The Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof Dr Robina Farooq (T I) thanked Ms. Nabila for her visit to the university and appreciated her efforts in raising awareness among women in Punjab to raise their voice for their rights. The guest speaker responded to multiple questions of the audience on issues regarding workplace harassment and property rights.The event ended on distribution of souvenirs among the guests.
