Under the commercialization drive of the university, Horticulture Department, Government College Women University Faisalabad organized its first wheat harvesting ceremony today. Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof Dr. Robina Farooq (T.I) was the chief guest of the ceremony. Dr Faqir Hussein, Incharge Department of Horticulture received the chief guest and all other guests on the New Campus. This year, the university cultivated wheat on 5-acre land on an experiment basis that remained very successful. Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the Horticulture department and encouraged it to continue all developmental and commercialization projects in the New Campus of the university in the future also. Next year, the Horticulture Department intends to cultivate wheat on a larger scale. Pro-Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli, Registrar GCWUF Mr. Asif A Malik, Treasurer Mr. Anser Mughal, Head of the Botany Department Dr. Abida Kouser, directors and management staff of the university attended the ceremony. Dr Faqir Hussein thanked the guests for attending the event.
