The Department of Mathematics, GC Women University, Faisalabad took part in two days training workshop on ???Deep Learning Models for Image Recognition and Dynamical Simulation??? & Poster, Quiz Competition organized by Department of Mathematics, Government College University, Faisalabad, Pakistan. Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, Chairperson of the Mathematics Department, GC Women University, Faisalabad was invited as a chief guest of this event. She also served as the esteemed judge of poster and quiz competition in which teams from four other prestigious universities demonstrated their prowess in designing innovative posters and competitiveness in quiz competition. The event held at the prestigious institution's premises, witnessed the presence of esteemed professionals and academicians. On the first day of the workshop, Prof. Dr. Saima Akram was welcomed by Dr. Muhammad Imran Chaudhary, Chairman of the Mathematics Department, GC University, Faisalabad. As an invited speaker, Prof. Dr. Saima Akram with her extensive expertise in the field, delivered an enlightening talk titled ???Unveiling the Power of Deep Learning: Advancements in Image Recognition and Dynamical Simulation???. The workshop encompassed various sessions led by renowned experts in the field, who provided comprehensive insights into the theoretical and practical aspects of deep learning models. Participants had the opportunity to learn about state-of-the-art techniques, explore case studies, and engage in hands-on exercises to strengthen their understanding. The second day of the workshop featured a poster and quiz competition, adding an element of excitement and healthy competition to the event. Assistant Prof. Dr. Madeeha Tahir, Department of Mathematics, GC Women University, Faisalabad, who was also member of organizing committee of this successful event meticulously selected two teams from GCWUF. One team comprising of four students for poster competition and second team comprising of three students for quiz competition. The teams demonstrated their prowess in designing innovative and informative posters, impressing the judges with their creativity and technical acumen. Under the watchful eye of Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, serving as the esteemed judge, the teams from Govt. College Women University Faisalabad delivered exceptional performances. Their posters exhibited a profound understanding of the workshop's subject matter and garnered praise for their visual appeal and, clear presentation. As a result, team secured second position in the highly competitive poster competition. Team for poster competition won cash prize in recognition of their hard work and dedication. All the participants of the competition were presented with certificates. Two students from GCWUF also won prizes during audience question answer session. The closing ceremony of the workshop was marked by a felicitation ceremony, where Prof. Dr. Nasir Amin, Dean of Faculty of Physical Sciences Govt. College University, Faisalabad presented souvenir to Prof. Dr. Saima Akram. The Two-Day Training Workshop on Deep Learning Models for Image Recognition and Dynamical Simulation concluded on a high note, leaving participants enriched with new knowledge and inspired to excel in their future endeavors.
