9th meeting of Board of Advanced Studies & Research (BASR), Government College Women University Faisalabad was held on 15 August 2023. The meeting was chaired by worthy Vice Chancellor, GCWUF Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Nazra Sultana, Ex-Dean, Faculty of Sciences, University of Sargodha, Prof. Dr. Aqif Anwar Ch, Head of Department, IRCBM, COMSATS University Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, Acting Chairperson, Department of Mathematics, GCWUF, Prof. Dr. Aysha Sameen, Coordinator, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences/ Acting Chairperson, Department of Food Science & technology, GCWUF, Mrs. Rizwana Tanveer Randhawa Controller of Examination, GCWUF, Dr. Rukhsana Bibi, Coordinator, Faculty of Humanities & Languages, GCWUF, Dr. Nausheen Syed, Coordinator, Faculty of Management & Administrative Sciences, GCWUF, Dr. Aasma Khalid, Director QEC, Dr. Salma Shahid, Director Academic, GCWUF, Dr. Hira Munir, Director ORIC, GCWUF and Mr. Asif A. Malik, Registrar, GCWUF attended the meeting. Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zill-i-Huma Nazli welcomed all the members of Board of Advanced Studies & Research (BASR) and thankfully acknowledged their consistent support for the academic uplift of GCWUF. Registrar GCWUF Mr. Asif A. Malik, presented the agenda items as secretary of the meeting. Various agenda items were finalised for onwards approval by the Syndicate.These included number of proposed / existing seats for M.Phil. & Ph.D. degree programs during the Fall Semester 2023-24, Changes in Rules and Regulations M.Phil. and PhD Programs, Approval of the Supervisory Committees, Title of Synopsis and abstracts of Synopsis of Various Degree Programs, Approval of Submission of Final Thesis and conduct Public Defense of the Ph.D Students and study leave cases, Minutes of different Board of faculties, etc. At the end, the Chair during her concluding remarks thanked the honorable members of Board of Advanced Studies & Research (BASR). All members of the House appreciated the initiatives and measures taken up by worthy Vice Chancellor to enhance the quality of academics at GCWUF and ensured all necessary support in this regard to lift GCWUF for the highest academic pursuits in Pakistan and abroad.
