Three-Day Faculty Development Training Workshop Day-1: A three-day faculty development training workshop was organized by the Department of Mathematics GCWUF, from September 4-6, 2023. Faculty members from different departments of GCWUF participated in this workshop. Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli, Vice Chancellor GCWUF was the chief guest of the inaugural ceremony and Mr. Asif Malik, Registrar, GCWUF accompanied her to the stage. Prof. Dr. Saima Akram (Convener/ Patron/ Chairperson of the Mathematics Department) delivered the welcome note and highlighted the objectives and significance of the program. She thanked the resource persons and the participants for their presence and interest. The first day of the program consisted of three lectures by eminent speakers. The first lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Saima Akram herself on the topic of "Challenges Faced by Mathematics Teachers and Possible Solutions". She discussed the common difficulties and issues faced by mathematics teachers in teaching mathematics effectively and suggested some possible solutions and strategies to overcome them. The second lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Asif Malik (Rector, Lahore Institute of Science & Technology) on "Motivation in Classroom Teaching-Learning Solutions". He explained the importance of motivating students and shared some practical tips to create a positive learning environment in the classroom. The third lecture was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Shabbir, Assistant Prof. GCUF, on the topic of "Learner's Psychology". He explored the different psychological aspects of learning and how they affect the students' performance and attitude. He also gave some advice on how to deal with students' emotions and anxieties.
