Government College Women University Faisalabad organised a seminar and a book stall in connection with Iqbal Day. Vice Chancellor GC Women University Faisalabad Professor Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli was the chief guest of the seminar. She attended the session in the company of Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, Dr. Asma Aziz, and heads of all teaching departments. Worthy Vice Chancellor, in her address, declared it essential to familiarize our youth with Iqbal's concept of self. She advised the students to start living a life of indulgence and accept the challenges of life to empower themselves for the support and sustenance of the whole nation. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Asif Awan was the guest speaker of the day. He is known for his command on Iqbal philosophy of life. In his speech he described Iqbal as the wise man who emphasized the need for firm belief and action to succeed in this chaotic world. Advising the youth, he said that like Iqbal's Shaheen today's youth will have to gain owner and respect through self realisation. A nation whose youth is strong, becomes unbeatable. Our youngsters should always identify their goals and objectives in life. They must hold their values very deer to them and should protect these through thick and thin. The audience was presented with a video documentary on iqbal's life, lyrical presentation of Iqbal???s poetry, and a book stall on Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Iqbal Academy offered multiple books on life, and political and philosophical notes in the poetry of this founder poet of Pakistan. Seminar and the integrated activities by the Directorate of Student Affairs in collaboration with Media Cell and departments of Urdu, English, and Islamic Studies provided strong platform to the students of the university to understand Iqbal???s basic philosophy of life.
