Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) organised All Punjab Universities Innovation Expo 2023 on November 20, 2023, at Expo Center, Lahore, wherein around 400 projects and start-ups were exhibited. The expo's objective was to offer tech-enthusiasts and entrepreneurial brains, amongst the teachers and students, a platform to exhibit their creative research and innovative work before the industry experts, business persons, investors and the general public. Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli graced the event as Guest of Honour. Students from the Department of Home Economics and Chemistry actively participated in that event. The students of Home Economics showcased their handmade products like jewellery, bed sets and jackets. From the chemistry department, the students displayed the water testing kit, which was a product developed through the project of Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq. Along with students, the Incharge Department of Home Economics Ms. Ayesha Hussain and Incharge ORIC Dr. Hira Munir participated in the event. Worthy Vice Chancellor led the Chairman PHEC Dr Shahid Munir to the GCWUF stall. She introduced the products and patents to the honourable Chairman who appreciated the innovative ideas and projects prepared by the brilliant students of the university. Respected Vice Chancellor received a shield of participation and appreciation from Chairman PHEC.
