4th Ph.D. defense of Botany Department

The Department of Botany, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), successfully conducted its fourth Ph.D. defense on January 31, 2025.
Ms. Sehar Shaheer (2020-GCWUF-0009) successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation, "Stage-Based Response of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) to Exogenous Application of Melatonin Under Drought Stress," supervised by Dr. Irfana Lalarukh (GCWUF) and Dr. Javed Ahmad (AARI Faisalabad).
Her defense was evaluated by Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad (Government Postgraduate College of Science, Faisalabad) and Prof. Dr. Naeem Iqbal (GC University, Faisalabad). The event was attended by university officials, faculty, and research students. The examiners praised Ms. Shaheer and her supervisor for their impactful research on drought stress and its effects on crop yields.
