GCWUF Observes Kashmir Solidarity Day with a Series of Commemorative Events Government College Women University Faisalabad marked Kashmir Solidarity Day with a series of events organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Student Affairs and various academic departments. The activities aimed to express unwavering support for the people of Kashmir and raise awareness about their ongoing struggle for self-determination. The observance commenced with a solidarity walk led by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.). Organized under the Department of Humanities, the walk witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and administrative staff, all unified in their message of solidarity with the Kashmiri people. To highlight different facets of Kashmiri culture and heritage, the Department of International Relations and Political Science presented cultural displays, while the Department of Nutritional Sciences set up traditional food stalls offering authentic Kashmiri cuisine, including Kashmiri tea and other delicacies. The Department of Art and Design curated an exhibition featuring posters and paintings that depicted Kashmir???s historical and contemporary struggle for freedom. Additionally, the GCWUF Library set up a dedicated stall showcasing Kashmiri literature and historical records, providing valuable insights into the region???s rich cultural and political legacy. Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Kanwal Ameen emphasized that the initiative aimed to honor the resilience of the Kashmiri people while fostering a deeper understanding among students regarding the significance of the Kashmir issue.
