Workshop on "Aligning Institutional Practices with HEC, Revamped Quality Assurance Framework & the Role of Faculty and QEC" The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) conducted a workshop titled "Aligning Institutional Practices with HEC, Revamped Quality Assurance Framework & the Role of Faculty and QEC" on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Committee Room. The session commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran and a Naat-e-Rasool Maqbool (SAW). Dr. Aasma Khalid, Director Quality Enhancement Cell GCWUF, formally started the session by introducing the guest speaker, Prof. Dr. Asim Mansha, Director QEC at Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF). The workshop was attended by the Programme Team members of GCWUF, who actively participated in this valuable learning opportunity. Prof. Dr. Asim Mansha delivered his insights and guidance through three comprehensive sessions: 1.Aligning Institutional Practices with HEC Revamped Quality Assurance Framework In this session, participants were briefed on the updated Quality Assurance Framework introduced by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Key strategies for aligning institutional practices with the revised standards were discussed in detail. 2.The Role of Faculty and QEC in Programme Self-Assessment Report This session highlighted the critical roles faculty members and the Quality Enhancement Cell play in preparing Programme Self-Assessment Reports. It emphasized the importance of collaboration and adherence to the established guidelines. 3.The Role of Faculty and QEC in Program Review Effectiveness & Enhancement (PREE)The final session focused on the Program Review Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) process. Dr. Asim Mansha elaborated on methods for evaluating program outcomes and implementing measures for continuous improvement. The workshop provided participants with a thorough understanding of the revamped Quality Assurance Framework and the essential contributions of faculty and QEC in achieving institutional excellence. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Aasma Khalid, who expressed her gratitude to the guest speaker, participants, and organizing QEC team for making the workshop a success.
