The Department of Humanities at Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) held a seminar on November 12, 2024, to observe Iqbal Day, titled "Vision of Allama M. Iqbal: Contemporary Challenges of the Muslim Ummah." Dr. Rizwan Ullah Koukab, Chairman of the Department of History at Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF), was the guest speaker, welcomed by Dr. Rukhsana Baloch, Coordinator, the Faculty of Humanities and Languages. Dr. Rizwan Kokab addressed key political and social issues confronting the Muslim Ummah today, linking them to the teachings and poetry of Allama Iqbal. He emphasized that Iqbal viewed disunity among Muslims as a primary cause of their struggles, contrasting this with the unity and strength seen in the West. Highlighting Iqbal's advocacy for observation, innovation, and quality education, he urged that these elements are vital for progress in the Muslim world. He also discussed Iqbal's concept of Khudi (selfhood) and its importance in personal and collective growth. The interactive Q&A session saw students engaging enthusiastically, asking insightful questions about Iqbal???s philosophy.
