In connection with the International Day for Tolerance, the Women Development Centre, in collaboration with the Departments of Arabic, Physics, and Information Technology at Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), organized a webinar and poster exhibition on November 19, 2024, under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen. The event aimed to address social conflicts and foster harmony, tolerance, pluralism, and peace. Prof. Dr. Humayun Abbas Shams, Dean of Islamic and Oriental Learning at GCUF, emphasized that Islam is a religion of peace and moderation, urging Muslims to project its true essence. Prof. Dr. M. Zia-ul-Haq, Director General of the Research Institute, International Islamic University Islamabad, highlighted the dangers of intolerance and the need for education to combat ignorance and fear. He stressed the importance of instilling values of acceptance and respect in youth to build harmonious societies.
