We are thrilled to announce that Ms. Shazia Riaz, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, has successfully completed her PhD in Computer Science. She defended her thesis on November 29, 2024, at the Department of Computer Science, University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), Pakistan. Her research, titled ???Limiting Privacy Breaches in Deep Learning Models Using Differential Privacy,??? was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Saqib Ali (UAF) and co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Guojun Wang (China). As a recipient of the prestigious HEC FDP Split Scholarship, she also undertook collaborative research at the School of Computing, Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, under the guidance of Dr. Yipeng Zhou. Dr. Malik M. Ali Shahid, Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, NAMAL University, Mianwali, and Dr. Abdur Razzaq, Associate Professor at the Institute of Computing, MNS-University of Agriculture, Multan, served as the external examiners for her public defense.
