Biochemistry has enjoyed an intimate relationship with medicine illuminating many aspects of human health and diseases. It helps us to understand the chemical aspects of biological processes, plays a huge role in the development of novel new scientific approaches. The Clinical Pharmacogenomics Group aims to personalize medicine by studying DNA variations to better target a drug, or its dose, to improve health and prevent toxic reactions.
