PI: Dr. Umme Kalsoom The grant of the project is Rs. 3,331,078 /- (three million three hundred thirty one thousand seventy eight) and duration of the project is 18 months. The aim of the research is to treat synthetic dyes or industrial effluent using enzymes. Enzymes are biological catalyst and can efficiently treat waste water without producing huge amount of sludge. By using lemon, horseradish and pongamia pinnata peroxidases a wide range of synthetic dyes as well as industrial effluent have been decolorized.
