Principle Investigator : Prof Dr. Robina Farooq (PI) Amount: 14 Million Duration: 24 Months Objectives: -To reduce the risk of diseases and save the general public from water borne diseases -To reduce the health bill of Government of Pakistan -To make water analysis possible without instruments and laboratory. -To provide a simple water analyzing tool to common citizen living in city or a village. -To make the water analysis simple, easy and low in cost. -To design kits for other common pollutants responsible for water pollution in Pakistan. -To provide an inexpensive facility to a common man to test the water at home even. -To level down the everyday increasing graph of liver issues and other water borne diseases. -To provide a handy facility of water testing for tourists and mountaineers and military personnels. -To launch an awareness campaign regarding the health safety and need of clean drinking water. -To make the project financially feasible by increasing the demand and lowering the cost of the designed kit.
