Analytical techniques allow us to retrieve valuable components from biomass streams, including high-value food ingredients, building blocks for biochemicals and biofuels. Dr Faiza Nazir Assistant Professor Department of Chemistry GCWUF attended the workshop entitled Three Days Training on Hands-on Training on Soil, Water and Plant Analysis at NIAB Faisalabad, 30,31 October and 1st November, 2018 Dr. Asma Hassan was the Course Coordinator. Dr. Iftikhar Ali, DCS/Director NIAB was the Chief Guest. The knowledge sharing activity was also administered by Dr Faiza Nazir at Department of Chemistry, GCWUF on sample preparation of soil and plants and digestion of these plant and soil samples, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy , spectrophotometric analyses and isolation of microbes from plant and soil samples by using different methods were discussed. Dr Umme Kalsoom, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, GCWUF has presented her research work in 2nd International Conference of Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Biomaterials held 09-12-2018 to 11-12-2018 in University of Agriculture Faisalabad. The Knowledge Sharing Activity regarding was arranged on 31-01-2019 at 11.00 am in lecture theater 2, Science block Department of Chemistry. The topic of talk was Biocatalytic Degradation of Various Dyes by a Novel Peroxidase from Soybean.
