One Day International Webinar on Capacity Building for launching and Successfully Running a journal By Department of Chemistry, in video conference room using zoom as medium of online meeting, successfully accomplished today. Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq, Vice Chancellor GCWUF, was Patron in Chief and Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli, Chairperson Department of Chemistry, was convener of this webinar. Dr Abida Kousar, Dr Farhat Jubeen, Dr Sadia Nazir, Dr. Huma Munir and Dr. Nusrat Shafiq were the organizing committee for this webinar. The event started with the recitation of a few verses from Holy Quran followed by Naat-e-Rasool e Maqbool followed by welcome remarks and word of wisdom by Dr Zill I Huma Nazli and worthy vice chancellor. Prof. Dr Muhammad Iqbal Director and Professor of Bioorganic and Natural Product Chemistry at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (H. E. J. Research Institute of Chemistry and Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research) delivered his excellent talk on " capacity Building for Launching a Journal?? deliberately covering and explaining all aspects and domains to launch a scientific journal followed by interesting questions from Worthy vice chancellor, Dr Zill I Huma Nazli and other participants. An introductory session was kept to have introduction with the foreign participants from Maxico, Brazil and Malysia. Prof. Dr. Adrian Banilla Petriciolet, Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Instituto Tecnologico de Aguascalientes, delivered his valuable talk on " How to run a successful Journal ?? explaining financial relevance, editorial board selection/ rejection policies and quality maintenance for running of a successful journal. At the end of his talk, Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq, Dr Zill I Huma Nazli and Dr Abida Kausar thanked Dr Adrain for his dedication to work as it was mid night in Mexico during proceeding of the webinar. Dr Zill I Huma Nazli also announced and motivated the participants for registration to the next webinar in series on 8th December 2020 by the same organizing committee. It was a successful event as faculty members, researchers and students participated from maxico, Brazil, Malysia, Saudi Arabia UAF, Beacon House National university, virtual university of Pakistan, Lahore, University of Okara, NTU, IUB and GCWUF.
