*One-Day Workshop: Empowerment of Transgenders through visibility; SEO Writing* The Department of English, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), successfully organized a one-day workshop on SEO writing for the empowerment of transgenders, in collaboration with Saathi Foundation on 13-05-2025 at Video Conference Room. This initiative was part of a project undertaken by the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, in collaboration with the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of GCWUF. The workshop aimed to support Sustainable Development Goals #05 (Gender Equality) and #10 (Reduced Inequalities) by enhancing the digital presence and visibility of the transgender community. Dr. Saira Akhter, Incharge of the Department of English, GCWUF, played a pivotal role as the chief organiser. Dr. Zahida Hussain, Assistant Professor of English, GCWUF, coordinated the workshop's logistics and ensured its smooth conduction as Focal Person for implementing SDG#05 (Gender Equality) and SDG#10 (Reducing Inequalities). Saathi Foundation, a renowned NGO advocating for transgender rights, was invited to participate in the workshop. The members of the foundation attended the event, benefiting from the SEO writing training. Maheen Fatima, a student of Department of English, GCWUF, successfully delivered briefing over the SEO Writing in an engaging session. The primary goal was to equip participants with the skills to create and manage online content effectively, thereby increasing their visibility and promoting their rights. The workshop provided a platform for the transgender community to gain valuable skills in digital content creation. By focusing on SEO writing, participants learned how to optimize their online presence, reach a wider audience, and advocate for their rights more effectively. The success of this event underscores the importance of collaborative efforts between academic institutions and NGOs in driving positive change in our society.
