On February 4th, the Department of Political Science and International Relations at GC Women University Faisalabad organized a significant event to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day, raising awareness about the struggles faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The event, attended by distinguished guests such as Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zill I Huma Nazli Coordinator of science and technology, Prof. Dr. Saima Akram Coordinator Management Sciences, and heads of other departments. The program began with the national anthems of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, followed by a welcome speech by Madam Tooba Islam from Department of Political Science and International Relations. . Highlights of the event included a poignant poetry recital, a powerful tableau depicting the human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir, and a documentary providing a historical and political overview of the Kashmir issue. The event concluded with a cultural dance performance, celebrating Kashmir's rich heritage while symbolizing the pain and longing of its people for peace and self-determination.
