April 2023, Department of Urdu GCWUF in the collaboration with Punjab Council of Arts Faisalabad Division held one day seminar in the honor of famous Punjabi poet and writer Ustad Daman . In this seminar , distinguished poets and writer , professor Jalil Ali (T.I) Hafeez Khan (T.I) DR. Jafar Hasan Mubarak and Dr. Sher Ali HOD of Urdu department Al Hamad University Islamabad participated and shared their views about Ustad Daman . Vice Chancellor Dr. Rubina Farooq (T.I) emphasized on the promotion of literature and art for the development of society and positive values. Mr. Zahid Iqbal , director of Arts Faisalabad Division ,gave a thought provoking talk about Ustad Daman and appreciated the services of Ustad Daman for the promotion of Punjabi language and literature . Coordinator Faculty of Humanities and language Dr. Rukhsana Baloch thanked the guest . HOD Dr. Sadaf Naqvi Department of Urdu delivered the opening remarks . At the end of ceremony prof, Dr. Rubina Farooq (T.I) , Vice Chancellor GCWUF and Director of Arts , Mr. Zahid Iqbal presented shields to the distinguished guests. Well known poets presented their poems in Natia And Hamdia mushaira , including Riaz Majeed , Arif Bukhari, Shafqat Hussain Shafqat Dr. Jafar Hassaan Mubarak , Bushra Naz , Farooq Beg ,Riaz Qqdri and Kausar Sindhu. Pro Vice Dr. Zill e Huma Nazli Assistant Director Arts Council Asad Hayat Noel Faculty members and students participate in large numbers. Dr. Tayyaba Nigaht and Dr. Bushra illum din organized the seminar while Dr. Jafar Hassan Mubarak organized the mushaira.
