A two-day international seminar on "Ethical Values in the Poetry of Asian Languages" was organized on March 5 and 6, 2024 by the Department of Urdu, Government College Women University, Faisalabad. Saying that these moral values can have a positive impact on our society, Prof. Dr. Khawaja Ikram, Chairman World Urdu Association, Delhi, paid tribute to Sophia Ikram's services and her efforts for the reformation of the society Dr. Javeid Manzar shed light on moral values in Dabastan Karachi. From Baig University, the President of the Urdu Department, Dr. Sadaf Naqvi, taught literature and moral values in a global context Talked about different aspects. On the second day of the seminar, Professor Dr. Amir Hasan Shah, the former vice chancellor of GC Lahore, said that a society devoid of civilization can never touch moral values. Dr. Salim Mazhar, Director General of Farogh Urdu, Prof. Dr. Salim Mazhar, mentioned the strong moral tradition of Persian poetry, that distance from these moral values is the cause of deterioration in society. And talked about the need for character improvement. Dr. Sher Ali Dean Faculty of Alhamd University described the values as a part of the society with reference to various poets. Dr. Kamran Kazmi, President of Department of Urdu Islamic International University, Islamabad, highlighted social ethics through the words of Mian Muhammad Bakhsh. Dr. Tariq Hashmi GC University Faisalabad emphasized on the elimination of negative values and promotion of positive values in the society. Dr. Jaffar Mubarak, Dr. Farheen and Dr. Farzana Riaz also discussed social values. President of Urdu Department Dr. Sadaf Naqvi and Coordinator of Humanities and Languages Dr. Rukhsana Baloch thanked the guests. And the focal persons of the seminar, Dr. Tayyaba Nighat and Bazghah Qandeel, congratulated them for conducting the successful seminar.
