12th Online Meeting of Academic Council – GCWUFThe 12th meeting of the Academic Council at Government College Women University Faisalabad was held online on May 20, 2025. The session was chaired by Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.).The meeting was attended online by Ms. Zahida Azhar, Additional Secretary (Universities), Higher Education Department, Government of the Punjab; Prof. Dr. Ashfaq Mahmood Qureshi, Govt. Sadiq College Women University Bahawalpur; and senior GCWUF faculty and officials including Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli, Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, Prof. Dr. Aysha Sameen, Dr. Rukhsana Bibi, Dr. Sumera Aslam, Dr. Mubashara Sadia, Dr. Ayesha Younas, Dr. Abida Kausar, Ms. Misbah Bashir, Dr. Aasma Khalid, Dr. Salma Shahid, Dr. Hira Munir, and Dr. Sadia Asim (Registrar/Secretary Academic Council).The Vice Chancellor welcomed the members, and Dr. Sadia Asim presented the agenda. Key decisions included:Adoption of Coursera CoursesImplementation of HEC curricula (2025) as developed by the National Curriculum Review CommitteesApproval of new 1(0-1) credit hour courses: Fehm-e-Quran–I and Fehm-e-Quran–IIChange of program title from M.Phil. to MS and revision of credit hour requirements for MS and Ph.D.Updates in course content, credit hours, and course codes in alignment with HEC’s Undergraduate Policy and UGPIn her concluding remarks, the Vice Chancellor thanked the members for their input and support. The Council appreciated her efforts to enhance academic quality and pledged continued support for GCWUF’s academic growth both nationally and internationally.
