Vice Chancellor GCWUF Leads Strategic Reforms to Promote Quality ResearchÚFaisalabad: Under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) continues to strengthen its mission of fostering quality research and academic excellence.ÚThe 11th meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR), held on July 22, 2025, marked a significant step forward in enhancing the postgraduate research framework. For the first time, the Vice Chancellor introduced the practice of defending PhD research proposals during the BASR meeting prior to their approval— a strategic move to ensure rigorous academic standards. Several PhD proposals were approved accordingly.ÚChaired by the Vice Chancellor, the Board also approved admissions for 2025, supervisory committees, MPhil theses, and other research-related matters. She directed that quarterly BASR meetings be held regularly to expedite research processes.ÚProf. Dr. Ameen emphasized the university’s commitment to cultivating a robust research ecosystem grounded in academic integrity, innovation, market orientation, and international best practices.
