VC GCWUF Emphasizes Women’s Leadership in Digital Innovation at UN Women RoundtableFaisalabad, October 7, 2025 — Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), Vice Chancellor Government College Women University Faisalabad, attended the Digital Startup Roundtable Series: Women Leading Innovation as Chief Guest, organized by UN Women Pakistan in collaboration with KOICA at Hotel One, Faisalabad. In her address, she emphasized the need for strong industry–academia linkages to drive innovation and entrepreneurship, appreciating the active participation of GCWUF faculty and students in meaningful dialogue. She reaffirmed that GCWUF is continuously empowering women through initiatives promoting leadership, digital literacy, and professional development.The event, held under UN Women’s Digitalization for Women Economic Empowerment (D4WEE) Project, brought together representatives from FCCI, NIC, GCUF, UAF, and various industries who shared insights on inclusivity and innovation in the digital economy. GCWUF students, guided by Dr. Sadaf Naqvi, Focal Person UN Women and Incharge WDMC, participated actively in discussions on digital entrepreneurship. Ms. Abira Farooq, Project Officer KOICA–UN Women Pakistan, and Ms. Sidra Humayun, Project Coordinator Punjab, acknowledged GCWUF’s continued partnership in supporting women-led digital and entrepreneurial ventures.
