Akhuwat Foundation Distributes Interest-Free Loans at GCWUFFaisalabad, October 8, 2025 — The Akhuwat Foundation held a Qarz-e-Hasna (interest-free loan) distribution ceremony at the Grand Mosque of Government College Women University Faisalabad, empowering 250 deserving families with financial assistance totaling Rs. 25 crore.Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) graced the occasion as Chief Guest, while Ch. Muhammad Aslam Javed, former Director General Labour Punjab, presided over the session. Dr. Ehsan ul Haq joined as Guest of Honour, along with other notable participants including Prof. Dr. Mehr-un-Nisa Aslam Dhidhee, Khalid Mahmood Shouq, Talat Mahmood, and Waheed Khaliq Ramay.In her address, Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen commended Dr. Amjad Saqib’s vision of empowering communities through interest-free lending and highlighted its role in fostering social welfare and economic stability. Shields were presented to distinguished guests, and the book “Akhuwat Ka Safar” was gifted to the Vice Chancellor for the university library.The ceremony concluded with a prayer for the prosperity of Pakistan.
