GCWUF Alumni Art Exhibition “Roshani to Hum bhi Hain” Showcases Creative Excellence of Emerging Women ArtistsFAISALABAD, December 9, 2025 — Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar along with Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), Vice Chancellor GCWUF, inaugurated an inspiring two-day alumni group show titled “Roshani to Hum bhi Hain”, featuring selected works of female visual artists from the pass-out batches of 2019–2025. The exhibition, held in collaboration with the Punjab Council of the Arts, Faisalabad, highlighted a diverse range of contemporary themes and creative expressions by GCWUF’s emerging women artists. Speaking at the occasion, Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen expressed her appreciation for the exceptional creative talent of GCWUF alumni and emphasized the importance of providing platforms that celebrate women’s artistic contributions. She thanked the Punjab Council of the Arts for their valuable collaboration in promoting young women artists at a broader public forum.Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar commended the quality of the artwork displayed and acknowledged GCWUF’s significant role in strengthening Faisalabad'||chr(39)||'s cultural and creative landscape.Welcoming the guests, Dr. Tuba Najam, Head of the Department of Art & Design, highlighted the department’s dedication to nurturing artistic innovation and professional growth among young women. The exhibition was thoughtfully curated by Ms. Zain Manzoor, showcasing works that explored identity, culture, social narratives, and modern visual forms. Ex-President of FWCCI, Mrs. Robina Amjad; Vice Chairman of PHMA, Mr. M. Afzal Awan; Director of Arts Council, Mr. Maqbool Malik; Director of FITFD, Ms. Tehmina Afzal; university coordinators; heads of academic departments; and a large number of students visited the exhibition and appreciated the students'||chr(39)||' artistic expressions.
