GC Women University Faisalabad Celebrates International Women’s Day with a Two-Day Art Exhibition Inaugurated by Comissioner Faisalabad and VC GCWUFFaisalabad, March 10, 2026: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Department of Art & Design at Government College Women University Faisalabad, in collaboration with the Punjab Council of the Arts Faisalabad, inaugurated a two-day art exhibition titled “Hun Na Reha Hanera.” The exhibition was inaugurated at the Punjab Council of the Arts by Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar and Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.). The event was attended by President of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chairman Hosiery Manufacturers Association, and representatives from the Women Chamber of Commerce.Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar highlighted the vital role of women in the progress and prosperity of society. He noted that art serves as a powerful medium of expression that raises social awareness and promotes positive thinking. He appreciated the artwork created by the faculty of GCWUF and termed such exhibitions an effective platform for encouraging creativity.Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) stated that International Women’s Day provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements, resilience, and contributions of women in society. She emphasized that GCWUF is committed to providing students and faculty with opportunities for both academic excellence and creative expression. She further remarked that the exhibition “Hun Na Reha Hanera” symbolizes the strength, courage, and hope of women, reflecting the growing role of women in every sphere of life.
