Applied Psychology Department Holds Mental Health Camp at Daar ul Amaan FAISALABAD, May 21, 2026 ??? The Department of Applied Psychology, Government College Women University Faisalabad, organized a mental health camp at Daar ul Amaan under the supervision of Dr. Saira Khan. The visit aimed to provide psychological support, basic mental health assessment, and counselling services to the girls and children residing there. The activity was organized collectively by Mam Sumaira and Mam Maryam, who formed different student teams for the successful management of the event. Mam Saba was also specially present at the camp and guided the students throughout the visit. Upon arrival, the students and faculty members interacted with the residents and introduced the purpose of their visit. The students conducted basic assessments and Mental State Examinations to understand the emotional and psychological condition of the participants. Counselling sessions were also conducted, during which the participants were taught simple coping techniques and healthy ways to manage stress and emotions. The department also distributed gifts among the girls and children. These gifts were purchased through donations collected by the students for the welfare and happiness of the residents. The gesture was warmly appreciated and helped create a friendly and supportive environment during the activity. At the conclusion of the visit, all faculty members thanked the administration and residents of Daar ul Amaan for their cooperation and hospitality. The camp ended with farewell remarks before the team returned back.
