Department of Biochemistry GCWUF marked a monumental milestone in scientific advancement by successfully hosting the prestigious 3rd National and 2nd International 03-Days Conference Cum Products Display and AI-Workshop on Natural Products: Biological and Pharmaceutical Applications, held on 2-4 December 2025 jointly organized by department of biochemistry GCWUF and department of biochemistry RIUF This grand three-day mega-event served as a global nexus, bringing together with an impactful Session of Dignitaries at Jinnah Auditorium, followed by inspiring talks from Dr. Shahid Iqbal and Mr. Irfan Shahid. Attendees connected with powerhouse speakers including Navid Anwar Khan, Dr. Khalid Mahmood and Yaseen Randhawa, Prof. Dr. Anjum Zia session on Stevia products in Pakistan and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahid work on nanoformulations in cancer and antioxidant therapies and students to explore the cutting-edge frontiers of natural sciences. With 18 posters, 71 talks, 14 online sessions and 6 international speakers, the event set a remarkable benchmark. An impressive lineup of 65 national speakers, enthusiastic entrepreneurs and innovative stalls added even more value. Truly, this conference was a celebration of knowledge, progress and collaboration. Throughout the high-impact technical sessions, renowned keynote speakers shared groundbreaking research on the discovery of novel bioactive compounds from plant, marine, and microbial sources, alongside modern formulation techniques aimed at transforming raw natural products into targeted, life-saving medicines. A major highlight of the event was the vibrant Products Display, where enterprising students and research scholars showcased innovative, self-developed natural and nutraceutical products, bridging the gap between academic research and commercial entrepreneurship. Simultaneously, the integration of a cutting-edge AI-Workshop provided invaluable hands-on training, equipping participants with essential digital skills in utilizing Artificial Intelligence tools for computational biology and molecular docking to predict the efficacy of natural compounds.
