The Bioactive Society of Department of Biochemistry, under the visionary leadership of Worthy Vice Chancellor-GCWUF, Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) and the expert guidance of the Chairperson, Department of Biochemistry Dr. Mubashra Sadia, recently organized an industrial visit to the Nawab Soap Factory Faisalabad on 30 April 2026. From the study visit, students gained practical insight into industrial-scale production of soap through saponification, observing the transition from raw material preparation of soap to the final stages of their extrusion and packaging. The tour emphasized critical safety protocols for handling caustic chemicals and the quality assurance measures required for batch consistency. By bridging the gap between lab-scale experiments and mass production, this visit successfully illustrated the real-world application of product formation in everyday consumer products. At the event, A student presented a gift of 'herbal soap made in Biochemistry Research laboratory' to the CEO of Nawab soap factory, Mr. Imtiaz Ahmad as an innovation from the departmental laboratory. Moreover, the visit provided another important venue of students internship placement and a valuable linkage for academia .
