Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), as Chief Guest, inaugurated the International Earth Day activities with an Awareness Walk and a Tree Plantation Drive under the Zero Waste Awareness Campaign. Distinguished guests from academia, university coordinators, heads of various departments, faculty, and students joined the campaign. Prof. Dr. Ameen planted a Thevetia sapling, while participants contributed to planting 200 trees across campus'reinforcing GCWUF's commitment to environmental stewardship. The Vice Chancellor commended the Green and Clean Society for fostering a culture of sustainability and inspiring youth-led action for a greener tomorrow. She appreciated the contribution of 200 plants gifted by Team Green Dreams for this campaign. Organized in collaboration with the Department of Botany and the Environmental Club, the activity mobilized students and faculty to promote sustainability, waste reduction, and eco-conscious behavior. The campus echoed with green messages as participants carried banners and pledged collective responsibility for a cleaner future.
