The Department of Information Technology, Government College Women University Faisalabad, successfully organized the IT Final Year Projects Exhibition in connection with International Girls in ICT Day 2026 under the theme AI for Development: Girls Shaping the Digital Future on Tuesday, 23 June 2026 in the Information Technology Lab (BL-5). The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I), Vice Chancellor, Government College Women University Faisalabad, as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, Coordinator, Faculty of Computing and Numerical Sciences, along with faculty members, students, and university officials. The exhibition was organized under the supervision of Ms. Suneeza Hamid, Incharge, Department of Information Technology, with the support of faculty members and students. The activity highlighted the significance of womens participation in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and encouraged students to utilize emerging technologies for sustainable development and societal benefit. Students presented a diverse range of innovative projects in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber Security, Chatbots, Mobile Application Development, and Web Technologies. The projects demonstrated students??? technical knowledge, creativity, research aptitude, and problem-solving skills. Several projects focused on developing intelligent and practical solutions to address contemporary challenges in education, healthcare, business, and community services. On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I) appreciated the quality, innovation, and practical relevance of the projects and commended the efforts of both students and faculty members. She emphasized the importance of empowering young women through technology and encouraged students to continue pursuing excellence in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. The successful organization of the IT Final Year Projects Exhibition and International Girls in ICT Day 2026 enabled students to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical implementation while strengthening their research, analytical, and professional competencies. The event served as a valuable platform for promoting innovation, technological advancement, and leadership among female students, reflecting the University commitment to quality education and digital empowerment.
